Frequently Asked Questions

Make the Yellowstone Playhouse a part of this summer’s Yellowstone vacation! We look forward to sharing some family-friendly fun with you!

What is the Yellowstone Playhouse?

Yellowstone Playhouse is a laugh-out-loud dinner theater focusing on musical spoofs and variety shows.

Are your shows appropriate for young kids?

Yes. Our shows are appropriate and engaging for the entire family. We don’t do crude humor, curse words, or sexual innuendo.

Can we share a meal?

We would prefer not. Our food is served as a once-through buffet style meal. If you have special dietary issues that required sharing of a plate please call our box office at (208) 558-7529 to discuss it.

How is your seating done?

We do our seating based on order of reservation. Meaning the sooner you book the closer to the front you will be. This style of seating allows us to give all patrons the best seating and also allow for groups shrinking or adding.

What time does dinner and the show start?

Dinner starts at 6:00 pm and the show begins at 7:00 pm. If you are coming for just the show please arrive no later than 6:45 pm.

Where are you located?

We are located in beautiful Island Park, Idaho. Five hours north of Salt Lake City, Utah and ten minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

5163 North Highway 20, Island Park, Idaho

Who needs a ticket?

Children 2 years and younger do not need a ticket as long as they are lap held and attend with the understanding that if they start to fuss or make any noise they are to be promptly removed to the cry room.

What should we do if we are part of a big group that wants to sit together?

If you are part of a group that would like to sit together, the best way to ensure that is to book ALL the tickets as ONE reservation.

Alternatively, if you are afraid Cousin Karen is not going to pay you back… you can all book them separately but MUST list a common name in the “remarks field” when booking. (i.e. “Seat with Jones Party”)

Can we come just for the show?

Heck yes. Join us for dinner and the show or the show only. The seating is done the same for either. Based on order of reservation.

How late do the shows run?

We typically wrap up the evening by 9:15 to 9:30 pm. (Depending on the show)
